What is snagging?

Snagging is all about identifying construction quality issues, before the house buyers warranty expires, or worse, when they become major headaches.

When a new home is built, it's common to find minor defects—anything from a misaligned door to paint where it shouldn't be, to more significant concerns such as water leaks and structural issues, which do not meet industry/ warranty tolerances, requiring the developers' attention.

That’s where I step in.

I thoroughly inspect your home, pinpointing every issue with meticulous care. These findings are compiled in a detailed snagging report, complete with room-by-room breakdowns with photos and NHBC codes for clarity. The format of the reports meets NHQB requirements.

This report helps both you and the developer address problems efficiently, ensuring your new home meets the highest standards and is ready for you to enjoy.

About Glen...

Glen Pitman; born and raised in Hastings, with over 25 years of experience in construction management, dedicated to providing quality homes.

I began as a bench joiner, moving on to cabinet making at the esteemed Rycotewood Furniture College in Thame, Oxfordshire. Building on that foundation of art history and craftsmanship, in 1999, I earned a BA Hons degree in Interior Design and Architecture from Brunel's Buckinghamshire and Chilterns University College.

I've progressed through the construction management heirarchy from finishing foreman to project manager with leading house-builders. My journey led me to specialize in the super-prime market, where I had the privilege of managing high-profile projects for high-net-worth clients. From luxurious residential estates to hospitals, houses, and flats, basements, I've overseen them all, delivering results with precision and care.

Now living in West London with my wonderful wife and son, I’ve shifted my focus to inspecting new homes to ensure they meet the relevant industry standards. With a meticulous eye for detail and a dedication to quality, I’m here to provide you with peace of mind and confidence in your new home.
